[DE]: Schall ist ein Sammelbegriff und stabil ist nur das Kollektiv. Das »Sound is a Collective!«-Festival markiert einen Meilenstein des FLUCC, das in seinem 21. Bestandsjahr eine Transformation zu einem offenen, soziokulturellen, partizipativen und experimentellen Kulturzentrum beginnt. Dabei wird mit Konzerten der explorativen Elektronik an das Ur-Fluc erinnert, das seither Dreh- und Angelpunkt der internationalen Avantgarde in Wien war. Audiovisuelle Performances treffen auf Konzerte – und auch der Clubaspekt wird umfänglich bedient.
Aus dem üblichen Repräsentationsraum der Bühne wird durch künstlerische Raumnahme parallel eine Produktionsstätte und Möglichkeit zur kollektiven sonischen Erforschung des Standorts Praterstern.
Abgerundet wird das musikalische Programm des dreitägigen Festivals durch ein ausgeklügeltes Projektionskonzept, das tiefgehendste Immersion sowohl für das Publikum als auch für die teilnehmenden Künstler*innen ermöglicht.
Das FLUCC schreibt sich fortan mit einem zweiten C, das für »Community« steht. Willkommen zum ersten Ankerpunkt und danke für die Partizipation.
[ENG]: Sound is a term that collects different notions. Also, only the collective is something that we would call stable. The »Sound is a Collective!« festival marks a milestone for FLUCC, which – in its 21st year of existence – is undergoing a transformation into an open, socio-cultural, participatory and experimental cultural center. Concerts of explorative electronics will commemorate the original Fluc, which has been the hub of the international avant-garde in Vienna ever since it was founded in the eraly 90’s. Audiovisual performances meet concerts and the club aspect is also served extensively.
The usual representative space of the stage is transformed into a production site and an opportunity for collective sonic exploration of the Praterstern location.
To bed the musical program of the three-day festival in a due manner a sophisticated projection concept that enables the deepest immersion for both the audience and the participating artists was created for this occasion.
Furthermore, FLUCC writes itself with a second C, which stands for »Community«, from now on. Welcome to the first anchor point of this transformational process and thank you for your participation.

FLUCC DECK: Lab/Exhibition/Sonic Research by »A Meeting Place for Sounds«
Meeting Place for Sounds is a group of young artists focused on site-specific sonic research. Their work takes place in very short and focused collective residencies, the first of which took place at CLB Berlin in January 2023. The residencies are spaces for prototyping and experimenting with new methods of knowledge production, presentation, decision-making processes and social organization.
The goal is simple: find out something new about the space. They will be listening to it, probing with new tools, testing its boundaries, stomping, clapping, and clicking. All of those interested, amateurs or professionals are invited to join them during the process.
